Pippa Middleton Married James Matthews In a Grand Wedding Ceremony

Duchess of Cambridge’s sister Pippa Middleton got married to wealthy financier James Matthews at St Mark’s Church, Englefield in England on 20th of May 2017. Quite a few royalties and celebrities graced the wedding with their benign presence. Needless to say bride’s sister Kate Middleton and her husband, Duke of Cambridge Prince William participated with enthusiasm in all the ceremonial celebrations. The glowing bride looked stunning in her white wedding gown designed by Giles Deacon. The picturesque wedding was quite a visual treat for the guests.

The wedding guests were advised to bring a change of clothes as the Middleton’s had organized a huge party in their lavish Berkshire estate after the ceremony to celebrate the marriage. The party  was extravagant! Onlookers reported that faces of Pippa and James had been projected on the windows of Bucklebury Manor along with eccentric lights at one point of time. Imagine the grandiose! The party went on to about 4 in the morning. Surely it must have been a night to remember for all the guests.

About James Matthews

While Pippa has been in the limelight since her sister got married to Prince William, not a lot is known about  the groom, James Matthews.  James Matthews is a 41 year old multimillionaire hedge fund manager and chief executive of Eden Rock Capital Management Group. He is son to David Matthews, owner of  luxury Eden Rock retreat in St. Barths. James is well acquainted with the royal family as he went to  the prestigious all-boys boarding school Eton College, in Windsor with Prince William and Prince Harry. Surprisingly, he is one of the lesser known faces of the Matthews family. His brother Spencer Matthews starred in the popular reality show Made in Chelsea.

The proposal

Though James’ public appearances has been understated in the past, but his proposal to Pippa wasn’t. He had proposed to Pippa in July, last year. Like the wedding, the proposal was also bedazzling. James asked her to marry her in a northwestern national park in England with an astounding Asscher cut diamond ring, to which Miss Middleton graciously said ‘yes’.

In December they had officially announced that they were all set to get married in the next spring.

The relationship timeline

While they dated for only 2 years before they got married, they had known each other for more than 10 years! Pippa met James at his resort, Eden Rock in the Caribbean Island for the first time. Then, Pippa was seeing English cricketer, Alex Loudon.

2012 was year when Pippa began to be spotted with James. The next year however, Pippa got into a relationship with another financier, Nico Jackson which indicated the James and Pippa had parted ways. However, since Nico lived in Geneva and Pippa in England, this relationship was short lived.

2015 was year of the sweet reunion of James and Pippa. They were spotted together multiple times. They participated in the Birkebeiner charity Ski Race in Rena, Norway and were also seen together on a ski trip in Verbier, Switzerland.

Just an year ago, in the month of May Pippa had moved in with James in his West London Mansion, after which they got engaged in July and finally married on 20th of this month.

Let’s wish the  gorgeous new couple a very happy and fulfilling married life ahead!
